A real gem in Carterton! We came to celebrate my mother's birthday and it was perfect. My family loved the Fish Madras with coconut and Chana Masala was delicious. Very authentic flavours and great service. Thank you for having us!
We have been to Indian Taj in Carterton 3 times for takeaways and each time the meals have been amazing. The flavours are so good and the heats are as expected. They have got to be up there with some of the best curries we've had.

Amazing staff very attentive love the fact they aint in your face and allow you to eat in peace. Food is delicious the best in the Wairarapa I drive from Greytown just to treat myself. Service is fast and prompt. Always happy to return
Absolutely excellent curry! Flavor profile was sublime, onion baji and pakora were excellent, lamb saag and matter paneer were one of the best I've had in New Zealand, breads were also fluffy and crispy. Seriously one of my all time top ten curries. Highly recommended!
Amazing Indian food!!!! Atmosphere isn't incredible but it seems to be mostly a take away place. Cannot beat the quality of the food tho. And the service was lovely, food came out quick.
